First Drive: 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLA

It’s the Mercedes-Benz for the masses.

Starting at an astonishing $29,900, the CLA is the definition of “entry level.”  The front-wheel-drive CLA possesses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, resulting in 208 horsepower and a hearty 258 pound-feet of torque.  An all-wheel drive option will be available in 2014.  Bluetooth is standard, as is a 5.8-inch display serving as the multimedia interface that includes mbrace2, Mercedes’ infotainment system.  A 7-inch display, along with a navigation system and a premium audio system are optional. A panorama-style sunroof, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control and safety features including pre-collision braking, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist and parking assist are also available.  The car-buying public would like to congratulate Mercedes on their new baby Benz.  The all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA250 will hit dealerships in September.
